Best Field Day Ever

Thursday was Anja's last day of school.  It was also the school's annual field day and I was able to help the class.  Every year, the students are allowed to wear "normal" clothes for field day.  The students had been informed several days before that one of the activities would be laser tag.  Anja was so excited for this as were most students.  In the morning assembly, as the Head Master was explaining how things would go for the day, as soon as he mentioned laser tag, the entire school started chanting, "laser tag, laser tag!"

The first event for Anja's class was put on by the local fire department.  The kids did a relay race using the fire hoses.  The firemen told the class they were pretty worried since when they pulled up to the school, all they could hear was, "Laser tag! Laser tag!"  The kids had such a great time using the fire hoses.

There were several relay races played.

The much awaited laser tag finally came.  Emotions were running high and they all had a blast!

Dodge ball was the last activity.  The kids LOVE dodge ball.  Christian even got in on the fun.  I kept waiting for him to get hit.  I figured when he got hit, he would be done, but even though he got hit a few times, he stayed right in the game.  (I can't believe he will be here next school year!)

It was a great day!  The weather was perfect and the kids played hard.  Anja came home exhausted.  What a great way to end the school year!
