Christian's New Toy

Christian has never seemed to pay much attention to toys. He has enjoyed making messes, but never really gotten into a specific toy - until Easter. The Easter Bunny brought Christian a car toy. He loves it. He loves driving it and making it make all the fun noises. Christian also loves getting in the car with Denver as he pulls into the garage after work. We will hear the garage door open and Anja will immediately run out to greet her daddy. This has been going on with her since we have lived in this house. Christian has started getting into it as well. He realizes what is going on and will start to squeal in delight, knowing he is going to get to sit in the driver's seat with his daddy. Christian doesn't just sit there in Denver's lap. He has to stand up and grab the steering wheel so he can "drive." He actually moves the steering wheel if he can. So, little by little we have started realizing that Christian is into cars. We fully realized it when we saw him driving Anja's Barbie Jeep around. He was having so much fun pushing it around the house. Denver decided he needed a truck of his own, so he now has his own dump truck. He has had so much fun pushing this one around. It is big enough he can stand up and push it from behind while walking. It is fun to see him finally finding something he really loves to play with!
