One Month

 

It is hard to believe that this darling little boy has been with us for a month now.  The time has flown by, but at the same time it seems like he has been in our family forever.  He is such a great baby!

 

At the end of Andrew's first month he:

• Is a really mellow baby.  He doesn't cry much except when he is hungry.  When he does give us his hunger cry, it goes from 0-60 fast.  One would think he had been starved for days.
• Had some digestive issues at first and had to be given Milk of Magnesia to help.  Gas pains were a bit painful for him.  Things are working much better now!
• With his digestive issue in check, he is sleeping much better now.  He sleeps in three hour blocks at night with a couple feedings in between.
• Is a SLOW eater!
• Has survived many family visits.
• Spent his first evening away from home at the insistence of his Aunt Stephanie.  She watched him while we went on our first date since he was born.  He did just fine and we were grateful for the push.
• Makes the cutest squeaks.
• Just started "talking."
• Loves warm baths and especially loves showers with his daddy.  He is very alert in the shower and has the widest eyes while he is in there.
• Is more and more alert and curious about his surroundings.
• Has the cutest hiccups.
• Loves cuddling with his mommy, daddy and big sister.
• Enjoys taking naps on his tummy.
• Is getting much stronger and is holding up his neck more and more. 
• Loves the warm sun and doesn't love being cold.
• Started smiling at his mommy and daddy.
• Is loved by is family!
