Vacation Day 3 (Snow Day) {Updated with Pictures}

This is how Christian looked after almost an hour of helping Denver with our driveway.

Keeping up with the shoveling.

Notice the red rosy cheeks with the white in the center.  (Don't worry, it isn't frostbite.)
Our third day of vacation started with me trying to get our dog, Bella, to the groomer. I saw a rather large drift across our driveway (about four feet high). As I contemplated what to do, a little voice in my head said, "You can make it. You have a large and heavy SUV. This car is made for going through snow like this.". I put my car in drive and headed out. I made it halfway through the drift and then came to a stop. I tried several times to get through it, but no luck. Denver had to come and get the car out. (He had a small smile on his face the entire time. Ever since we have had this car, Denver has wanted to try it out to see what it could do.) We got the car our of the driveway into the yet to be plowed cul-de-sac and then back into the garage. Needless to say, Bella did not make it to the groomer.

We had plans to spend some time in downtown SLC, but that plan was quickly out when we heard a second storm was on the way in the afternoon. We needed a few groceries, so we went to a grocery store and had dinner at a yummy pizza place. The second storm hit just as we got seated to eat. Driving home was crazy! We were in a very long line of cars heading up our road to go home. It is normally a four-lane road, but tonight it was one lane each direction at best. Our right lane was used for cars that couldn't make it up the hill. The whole time we were thinking that it was a very good thing we changed our plans. Hopefully the weather will cooperate for us tomorrow!
