Thanksgiving

We had a great Thanksgiving weekend.  We braved the bitter cold (And when I say bitter, I mean bitter.  It was 6 degrees when we drove to Denver's mom's house for Thanksgiving dinner.  I think it got all the way up to 12 degrees and it was even colder the day before.  20 degrees on Friday was actually a welcome change!) and drove to Idaho.  We spent Thanksgiving day with Denver's family.  A couple uncles, an aunt, and a few cousins were there as well.  They definitely added the comedic relief.  One of Denver's cousins was so sweet and played a lot with the kids.  Anja had so much fun with him, that she cried when he left and wanted him to stay longer.

It was fun for Anja and Christian to spend some time with their cousins on Denver's side, Kennedy and Lucy.  They live in Arizona and so we don't get to see them much.  We are really grateful they braved the cold to visit.  Christian and Lucy were so cute playing together.

We spent Friday at my parents' house.  Anja and Christian had a great time playing with their cousins on my side, Evan and Ian.  Christian also loved spending time with Pops (my dad).  He loves Pops so much and was his little shadow.  It was so cute watching Christian follow Pops around like  little puppy.  They went for a ride together and Christian had to put on his baseball hat because Pops was wearing one.  Christian was pretty disappointed to find out that we were returning to our house on Saturday instead of Pop's.

Saturday was teeth cleaning time!  Thankfully, we all came through being cavity free!  (Not unusual for Anja or me, but great for Denver considering he went a year between teeth cleanings.)

We are now home safe and sound but happy to have spent a great weekend with family!
