Happy Birthday Anja!

Our little girl turned 5 years old on Saturday. Where did the time go? She was so excited for her birthday to finally come. She had been counting down the days. She actually woke up very early - around 7:00 (that is very early for Anja, considering she spent the summer sleeping in until 11:00 and later). She was so excited to let me know that her birthday had finally arrived. I was luckily able to convince her to go back to bed for a while.

After opening presents and a birthday breakfast of choice (pancake), we went to ballet and tap. Then we were off for a fun birthday lunch at the "twisty bread place." We ate lunch and then went to pick up her party cake.

Anja had her birthday party at her gymnastics gym. All her cute girlfriends were there. They had a great time!

By the time we got home, she was rather tired from the day! She did also enjoy many phone calls that day from cousins, aunts and uncles and Gran and Pops. She LOVED all the attention and phone calls just for her.

On Sunday, family came over for a second birthday party (and second birthday cake)! (I chose this picture because I love the look on Brendan's face. :) Anja had a great time playing with cousins. She was a bit disappointed her cousin, Evan, couldn't make it. It is too bad they don't live closer to us. She did have another birthday call from her grandma! Anja loved her birthday and had such a great time! Thanks everyone for making it such a special day(s)!
