We just got back from a great vacation in Hawaii. We spent almost two weeks on the big island. Denver, Anja, Christian and I went before the rest of my family. We had a great time swimming in the pool, playing on the beach, and swimming with the dolphins (Anja). We have two little fish for children. They both loved playing on the beach and especially loved being in the water!
The rest of my family arrived about 5 days after we had been there. We spent two different days on the other side of the island. We hiked through some botanical gardens in a rain forest and spent the day at the volcano. They were both really long days, but quite an experience! We loved hiking over hardened lava to get to the point where we could see the lava flowing into the ocean. It was mostly a lot of steam, but occasionally we were able to see the lava shooting up above the lava rocks. The hike back in the dark was interesting! We were glad we picked up a couple flashlights to see the unevenness of the path.
It was an amazing vacation! Anja loved spending time in the pool almost every day. She also loved searching for shells and watching sea turtles on the beach. She begged Denver to cancel our flight so we could stay longer. She even cried on the way to the airport. I think we all felt that way. It was a great vacation and none of us wanted it to end!

Looks like a great trip! The only time I've been to Hawaii was with you and the rest of the gang for 30 hours. Good times. How did you put all of the pictures together? Is that photoshop?
